October is coming to a close. The last portion of the harvest season. You might think this is the time for the farmer to put away his tools....but that would not be true. The farmer will now begin preparing the soil for the spring planting season or he/she will be planting winter "cover crops." What does harvest time mean for you in your business? It is certainly a time for reaping, because you are in the middle of the Fall season. The early work of late August and September is beginning to bear fruit...but there is much more in the pipeline if you have been working The Process.
This part of the season is the time to really pour it on. This is when if you are a racehorse, you pin back your ears and go as fast as you can. You have two timing convergences at this moment and for the next 6 weeks. The first is the cultivating of the new people in preparation for the new year and the major run of market activity between January and June. Sponsor, train, and prepare as many people as you can. Then these people will have the time to beging cultivating for the New Year and will also have results before the year is out.
The second is your own preparation for the New Year. This is the time to really ramp up your "Approaches." This will increase your sponsoring for the later part of the Fall, which will give you more people to cultivate for the New Year, but it will also give you a bulging pipeline for 2011 and ensure that you have major growth beginning in January.
