Always "trend" upward

If you are treating people well, working the process everyday, and committed to working your business "until," your growth trend will always be up. This does not mean you will always grow from month to month. That would be an unrealistic expectation. Life in general is a series of steps forward and steps back...but if you are always working to do better your forward progress will always outpace your steps back...it just won't always feel that way.
It frustrates me when I see presenters and companies misrepresent the way things grow. They show curves on charts that show a strong steady climb up, and use this information as a way to entice people to buy in or as a training platform. The problem is that they do it with the "rose" colored glasses approach where they don't share that the curve is really a long term curve that is point to point. In between, the curve goes up and down. So the truth is only half told.
This sets people up for disappointment and frustration because they feel like they aren't doing well if their personal business curve is not straight up on the chart.
Even though all things in life grow through a series of ups, downs and then ups again...we don't internalize that this is what is happening. We simply go through life without analyzing day to day how we are growing. But when it is a business, we scrutinize it day by day, instead of just working forward and trusting that we will grow over the long run.
You will always trend up over time, if you work hard, treat people well, and are patient. Yes, you will have times when things go better than others. You will have months when it feels like you are working hard and nothing is going right. You will also have periods when things grow very fast and you aren't really doing as much as usual. The bottom line...trust the process and you will grow up to the height you want over time...work "until."
