Create the Quality of life you want

Welcome! My name is Todd Burrier. Over two decades ago I was blessed to have been laid off in the banking industry during a time of economic upheaval. This led me to search for a way to have more control over my own future. I wound up in the home business world. After seven hard years of lessons and personal growth, I found a way to build a highly successful business from home, using some very basic and simple human principles. I have since been able to mentor many people on the path to a better life through creating a home based income stream. This blog is dedicated to helping anyone in a networking style business succeed. I will be sharing proven concepts for growing and leading a successful business. Anyone who is nice, honest, and committed to succeeding can do what I teach. If there are any topics you specifically would like me to address as we go along, just let me know. To comment on any posting mouse over next to the time of the post.

Touching 3

Yesterday, I mentioned being consistent and how important this is. Now I am going to embark on a series of posts to lay out a path for success and then I'll give tips for walking it.

The first step in the actual process of growing your business is the Approach step. Without doing this nothing else will matter. People aren't going to come knocking on your door to ask if you have a great product or business for them. You have to let them know what you have. This is what Approach is all about....opening a door for people to learn about what you have.

If you are part time in your business, which is most people, then you should be touching at least 3 people per day. This means purposely reaching out to contact 3 people to let them know about what you have to offer. This should be the foundation of your daily activities. This has to happen first(I know there are all kinds of internet marketing/lead sales companies that will talk to you about doing big numbers and getting rich fast and yadda yadda yadda....if that worked everybody would already be rich! There is some merit to everything, and feel free to explore all kinds of avenues, but what I am sharing here absolutely works for anyone over the long haul).

The need for what you have should be great (if not you are working with a limited product)...your job is simply to let people know you have it and do it in the right way. The late "Jim Rohn" used to say that "You make up in numbers what you lack in skill." This is at the heart of the touch 3 idea. It's how I built my business. If you approach 3 people a day the right way about your product/business, over time, you will get better, but as you are learning you will find a lot of people who are interested in learning about what you have to offer.

So what should you be approaching about...your products/service or business opportunity? I'll talk about this starting tomorrow.
