Once you understand the economics of a home business it doesn't make sense to not have one. So why doesn't everyone have one? Well for one, most people DON"T understand the economics of having a home business, and answers two through a million have to do with all the other things people have to deal with. To deal with the first one I am posting my video clip "Recession proof yourself from home" on Youtube so that you can share it easily with people (currently it is the #4 video in my "Almost Perfect Business" videos on www.Balanceprofessor.com ).
This video talks about developing cash flow through the combination of making more and keeping more (because of tax advantages) with a home business. It will help you to help others understand the economics of a home business and will live at www.youtube.com/user/toddburrier.
The other reasons are things like: don't feel like they have time, fear of failure, don't think they have the money to get started, don't think they know enough about business, don't like the way they were approached in the past by someone in a home business, don't think they can sell, and the list goes on.
The unfortunate thing is that people who don't try are stuck in a limited loop in life where they are destined to have what someone else allows them to have. They are lured by a false sense of security in having a job. Let's be real, one of the LEAST secure things in life is a job. You can invest years of your hard work in a job only to walk into work one day and be told you are no longer needed, or that the company can no longer afford you. You have no control of this. Then you are stuck with no income and the prospects of having to find another job just to make ends meet, and in which there will be no security either.
Working for someone else is a huge sacrifice of time, and has a massive opportunity cost in that it keeps you from pursuing other things. Not to mention someone else tells you when you have to be at work, for how long, and what you will earn. When you work hard in a job, you are usually working for someone else's dream....why not work for your dream? Let the job be your support while you work on your own business and your own dream!
