Create the Quality of life you want

Welcome! My name is Todd Burrier. Over two decades ago I was blessed to have been laid off in the banking industry during a time of economic upheaval. This led me to search for a way to have more control over my own future. I wound up in the home business world. After seven hard years of lessons and personal growth, I found a way to build a highly successful business from home, using some very basic and simple human principles. I have since been able to mentor many people on the path to a better life through creating a home based income stream. This blog is dedicated to helping anyone in a networking style business succeed. I will be sharing proven concepts for growing and leading a successful business. Anyone who is nice, honest, and committed to succeeding can do what I teach. If there are any topics you specifically would like me to address as we go along, just let me know. To comment on any posting mouse over next to the time of the post.

Fix the Problem...not the blame

Every day in life you are going to be faced with challenges. We all have times when things don't go as well as we would like, and we also have sudden things occur. The more we are doing in life, the more opportunity for challenges. I call this "life happening."
When "Life happens" to you it's important that you spend most of your time trying to solve the issue as opposed to figure out who or what caused it. It is important to know what happened so that you can learn from it and avoid the same issue in the future...but at the moment you realize you have an issue, the MOST important thing you can do is focus on resolving the issue.
Sometimes, this can be difficult because it is quite natural to be upset when something happens or doesn't work out the way we want...and our mind goes to thinking about "how could this happen?" "Who's fault is this?"...of course we don't typically think about ourselves in this...we think about how others caused this....but this is debilitating thinking. It keeps us from doing the most important thing, which is solving the problem!
So first things first...acknowledge the issue, brainstorm the solution possibilities, solve the problem, and then figure out what happened so you can avoid it in the future, or are at least better prepared.
