Create the Quality of life you want

Welcome! My name is Todd Burrier. Over two decades ago I was blessed to have been laid off in the banking industry during a time of economic upheaval. This led me to search for a way to have more control over my own future. I wound up in the home business world. After seven hard years of lessons and personal growth, I found a way to build a highly successful business from home, using some very basic and simple human principles. I have since been able to mentor many people on the path to a better life through creating a home based income stream. This blog is dedicated to helping anyone in a networking style business succeed. I will be sharing proven concepts for growing and leading a successful business. Anyone who is nice, honest, and committed to succeeding can do what I teach. If there are any topics you specifically would like me to address as we go along, just let me know. To comment on any posting mouse over next to the time of the post.

Finding Business Builders

Building long term full-time type passive style income requires finding business builders. You should already have a feel for my philosophy about building the customer base and your personal belief and confidence level. If you are new to this blog, scan through the past posts to get a feel. I am going to focus on finding and developing business builders for a little while for those of you who are trying to build a big business.

From a "Process" perspective, looking for a business builder is no different than looking for customers. The need is great for fair and honest opportunities to develop passive style income, so you automatically know that many people will be interested in learning about what you have, provided you approach them the proper way (it is critical that a prospect feels safe to learn and not pressured). The key is simply to share with enough people to find those that are ready to take action on their need.

Your business prospects will generally come from three areas of your center of influence: current customers, people who don't know about what you have to offer, and friends of people you know. Over the course of time I will talk about all of these. There are many tips and insights I can give you after having successfully done this part for over 20 years, and they will come as they come from each post.

The one main point for today is that just because someone says they are going to build the business doesn't mean that they will. Just as prospecting is basically a sorting out of who is indeed serious from who is not, so is the actual step forward to sign up with a business building mentality. Talking is easy...doing is something else entirely.

You will sponsor people who excitedly talk about what they are going to do and how big a business thay are going to build and a week later they don't return your calls. This is normal. It happens to everyone. The thing to understand is that the more often this happens, the more people who actually DO take action you will sponsor. Because you will need to be sponsoring a lot to find the right people. Who are the right people? People who do what they say they are going to do!

Therefore, have no expectation emotionally that the person you sponsor is going to help you retire:-) Be excited for a moment, but take that energy and go talk to more people. You will need to sponsor several who say they will build to find one who does. It is simply the way the world works. Everything that involves people is like this. The people who succeed in life self-select. Your job is simply to give someone the opportunity to self-select through your opportunity.
