How do you show up? Ready and focused!!!
So how do you do this? Well, here are a few simple ideas. I am going to go from the perspective that you are showing up at your home office to build your future, after a day at the office. If this is not you and you are a stay at home person already, but because of the business of running a household and leading a family you also are a few hour a day person, the same situation applies to you.
You have to get yourself from the previous state of mind to your home business state of mind. You have to switch hats, and literally this starts with your head!Listen to something that inspires you. Perhaps it is a type of music that energizes you, or maybe it is a speaker. For me it was always something auditory. It didn't have to be long, just something where I could let myself fall into someone else's positive message to clean away all the negative the world threw at me that day! I'd listen to Zig Ziglar or Jim Rohn or Brian Tracy. I'd also listen to training audio's about the business..over and over. These inspired me and re-inforced that I could do it...they also helped remind me that I SHOULD do it.
If I was in a situation where audio wasn't possible, then I would read the same type of things. Perhaps exercising or meditating is a good thing for you to do. You know yourself...do what gets you ready (but show up on time). The next thing I would do is read some affirmations. This is again designed to help me and you cleanse away the dirt heaped at us and about us...
Then revisit you goals. The "why" of what you are doing is the thing that is worth the energy (although for me, one day of working for someone else was all I needed as a reminder to get to work that night...so I could end that situation as soon as possible!). Read and/or look at a visual representation of your goals every day as a reminder that the little bit you do today takes you a little closer. These should be in your planner of course, but they can also be anywhere you spend time (car, refrigerator:-). They need also to be in your work space...which I'll talk about more later.
