Create the Quality of life you want

Welcome! My name is Todd Burrier. Over two decades ago I was blessed to have been laid off in the banking industry during a time of economic upheaval. This led me to search for a way to have more control over my own future. I wound up in the home business world. After seven hard years of lessons and personal growth, I found a way to build a highly successful business from home, using some very basic and simple human principles. I have since been able to mentor many people on the path to a better life through creating a home based income stream. This blog is dedicated to helping anyone in a networking style business succeed. I will be sharing proven concepts for growing and leading a successful business. Anyone who is nice, honest, and committed to succeeding can do what I teach. If there are any topics you specifically would like me to address as we go along, just let me know. To comment on any posting mouse over next to the time of the post.

Employ 5

Once you have made it to your workspace and are ready to "clock in" to build your future...now your workspace becomes the focal point. How is this environment? First off, you don't want to have to leave the area until you have done what you need to do. So here are some ideas to consider:

1. Use the bathroom before you step into your work space and shut the door. The same thought process as going on an extended drive in the car...you don't want to stop the car any sooner than you have to.

2. Take a big glass of water or whatever else you like to drink into the office with you.

3. Make sure the space that you work in has enough light. Some people feel more energized the brighter it is (I would be one of those people).

4. Whatever tools you need to work with people need to be in the workspace. A computer, telephones (cell, landline), planner, notecards (if this is how you track your pipeline), pad, pen, notes or materials you might need access to in a conversation, etc.

5. Your goals should be represented in this space. Ideally they should be clearly written right in front of you, but they should also be visually represented in other ways. Lifestyle and material pictures, family pictures, sayings and whatever else you want. Surround yourself with what you are working towards.

6. Make sure there is an adequate table or desk in which to work from and that your chair is comfortable. You might also consider a headset so you can move around while you talk if you'd like.

There is probably a lot of other things I could have included here, but the bottom line is that you need to make this a place you feel comfortable in and that is condusive for you to build your business.
