To begin with, here are some things to keep in mind when you make your list:
1. You will be doing people a favor by giving them the opportunity to learn about your product/business. You are offering them a door to an improved life. If you don't truly feel this way...you are in the wrong business. Otherwise, you are doing someone a disservice by NOT letting them know what you have.
2. Do not prejudge whether someone would be interested or not. You have no way of knowing. Offer and let them decide. See my video post on "Don't judge a Book." If you don't share what you have with them, someone will share something with them (maybe your offering or something else)...so it may as well be you. Everyone on your list is on someone else's lsit too.
3. Each person on your list represents an entire circle of influence. If everyone knows 1000 people (and actually everyone knows more than this), then each person represents a 1000 people...so a list of 1000 represents 1,000,000 people (I know, I know...they don't know them well...but the number is real none the less.).
4. A percentage of your list will be your customers and a percentage of your list will join your business. The bigger your list, the more customers and builders it will equate to....it is that simple.
5. No single person will make you successful, and no single person will destroy your opportunity. Many people spend their time looking for someone to make them rich....WRONG approach...look to how you can enrich others.
6. Don't worry about what you are going to say as you build the list. You will learn naturally as you go through your list what to say to differing levels of people (this will make more sense later, AND I will teach you here). Besides...it is much less about what you say as it is HOW you say it.
7.Your circle of influence is a circle because you should go through it many times. As long as you are nice, honest, respectful and do not pressure people, they will always welcome your contact. Many people will not participate in the first few contacts, but will later.
