Create the Quality of life you want

Welcome! My name is Todd Burrier. Over two decades ago I was blessed to have been laid off in the banking industry during a time of economic upheaval. This led me to search for a way to have more control over my own future. I wound up in the home business world. After seven hard years of lessons and personal growth, I found a way to build a highly successful business from home, using some very basic and simple human principles. I have since been able to mentor many people on the path to a better life through creating a home based income stream. This blog is dedicated to helping anyone in a networking style business succeed. I will be sharing proven concepts for growing and leading a successful business. Anyone who is nice, honest, and committed to succeeding can do what I teach. If there are any topics you specifically would like me to address as we go along, just let me know. To comment on any posting mouse over next to the time of the post.

"Do people really talk to 3?

I know I said I would share about lists and advertising, etc. in my last written post, but I am going to tangent a little today.

Yesterday while I was on the phone with a new partner of great potential, he asked me..."Todd do people really talk to 3 people a day?"

Of course he asked me this because I am constantly talking about the consistentcy of touching 3 per day, as a simple course to build a large and stable business over time.

The answer to this question is...some do and some don't. Now, if you are really thinking here and you understand that talking to 3 new people a day will build a successful business over time regardless of who you are or what your circumstances are...your logical question should be "Why wouldn't everyone who gets involved to build a business talk to the 3 people a day?"

My answer, and this display of wisdom is really going to blow your mind......"No Clue!"

Look at this passage from the late Jim Rohn on Motivation:

"Motivation is a mystery. Why does one salesperson see his first prospect at seven in the morning and another salesperson is just getting out of bed at eleven? I don't know. It's part of the mysteries of life. Give a lecture to a thousand people. One walks out and says, "I'm going to change my life." Another one walks out with a yawn, muttering to himself. "I've heard all this before." Why is that? Why wouldn't both be affected the same way? Another mystery. The millionaire says to a thousand people, "I read this book and it started me on the road to wealth." Guess how many go out and get the book? Very few. Isn't that incredible? Why wouldn't everyone get the book? A mystery of life. My suggestion would be to walk away from the 90% who don't and join the 10% who do."

Now add to that, this Jim Rohn exerpt on Success:

"People often ask me how I became successful in that 6 year period of time while many of the people I knew did not. The answer is simple: The things I found it easy to do, they found easy not to do. I found it easy to set goals that could change my life. They found it easy not do do. I found it easy to read books that could affect my thinking and my ideas. They found that easy not to do. I found it easy to attend classes and seminars and get around other successful people. They said it probably really wouldn't matter. If I had to sum it up, I would say what I found easy to do, they found easy not to do. Six years later, I'm a millionaire and they are still blaming the economy, the government, and company policies, yet they neglected to do the basic, easy things."

The bottom line is that talking to 3 people a day, is easy to do and it's easy not to do. You get to decide. AND so do the people you will sponsor....some will and some won't....but some clues as to who will are in the paragraphs above...who reads the books? Who gets the tools? Who shows up for the events? Who has decide they are going to be more in life?

It starts with you. Set the exxample and over time you will attract the people who will.
